HAYLEY CLOUD

Owner/Studio Director

Hayley Cloud is a native of Ascunsion, Paraguay, and was raised in Westfield, Massachusetts. Her training started at two years old at New England Dance Centers. After she graduated, she was asked to become a full time dance teacher. During this time, she auditioned, and was a featured dancer and made it to Vegas twice on “So You Think You Can Dance.” (Seasons 6 & 8) Soon, she realized her true passion was teaching dance. For over a decade, this has been her career. Today, Hayley is a nationally acclaimed choreographer, with awards and honors for contemporary, acrobatic, contortion, and jazz routines. She has trained students who went on to appear on the national tour of the Broadway show Newsies, CATS, Cinderella and many NFL and NBA dancers and cheerleaders. Hayley trained two students who have appeared on the Lifetime Network television show, “Dance Moms.” She is also a judge for many dance competitions such as Starpower and Elite Performance Challenge here nationally and internationally.

ASHLEY LINDELAND

Co-Director

Ashley Lindeland is one of the current directors at New England Dance Centers. She specializes in a variety of styles and works with dancers of all ages. Her choreography has earned numerous national titles and she has had the opportunity to train dancers who have gone on to professional careers in the dance industry. Ashley is a graduate of Pace University with a dual BA in Commercial Dance and Psychology.  She has choreographed for New York Fashion Week and an off-Broadway production of “Queens Boulevard” through Pace University. When she’s not teaching, she loves to being a mom and making costumes!

Idrissa Mccallum

Dance Teacher

Miss Idrissa is from Northhampton, Massachusetts and has a love for all things dance. She graduated from Pointe Park University with a Jazz-Dance Major. She also has in depth training in Ballet, Modern, Jazz/Contemporary, and Tap/Musical Theater. Idrissa was a Convention Assistant at Excel in Motion from 2013-2014 and had the experience of assisting professional dancers such as Alex Wong, and Kent Boyd (to name a few). Idrissa enjoys working with all students, in many different styles and age groups.

GINA KELLEHER

Dance Teacher 

Miss Gina has been a dance Instructor for over 40 years, she specializes in Recreational Dance.  She is the former cheerleading coach at St. Mary’s High School and a graduate of Holyoke Community College.

Brianna Stockhamer

Dance Teacher

Brianna Stockhamer is from East Longmeadow, Massachusetts, and grew up competitively dancing at New England Dance. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and a Masters Degree in Elementary Education from Bay Path University. She is currently a 5th-grade teacher in South Hadley, Massachusetts.  This is her second year teaching at New England Dance. Brianna enjoys teaching students of all ages and all styles of dance.

HARVEY STOCKHAMER

Acro Coach

Mr. Harvey grew up in Longmeadow and competed on the Longmeadow High school Gymnastics Team for 4 years, he competed on pummel hoarse and rings. He owned Stoney Hill Gymnastics Gym for 13 years and had gymnasts on the Junior Olympic team as well as compete for UCLA mens gymnastics team. He was assistant women’s gymnastics coach at West Springfield High School for one year, women’s gymnastics coach at Longmeadow High School for 17 years and women’s gymnastics coach at Westfield State College for 2 years. He was assistant director of Springfield College gymnastics camp for 3 years. He has been the gymnastics coach at Somersault Gymnastics Gym for 2 years and has been at NEDC for 21 years as an Acro Coach.

Karina MarchENKO

Ballet Mistress

Ballet Mistress Karina grew up in a theater family, and she fell in love with ballet at a very young age and performed in professional ballet productions since age of 5. She studied classical ballet, character dance, choreography, piano and music history at Lithuanian National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Art and graduated from Ukrainian L’viv State Choreographic School. As part of her studies she performed in classical ballet productions of “Sleeping Beauty”, “Cinderella”, “Nutcracker” in Vilnius and L’viv Ballet Theaters. After graduation she performed as a principal dancer at Odessa Academic Theatre of Musical Comedy where she danced solos and ensemble for classical operettas such as “The Merry Widow”, “Die Flittermouse”, “Die Bajadere”, “The Csárdás Princess”, “The Gypsy Baron” as well as contemporary musical favorites like “My Fair Lady”, “Pinocchio” and others. After moving to US Karina performed with Sonia Plumb Dance Company in the production of “Letting Go” and taught classical ballet by the Method of Vaganova (Russian School), point, modern and jazz at multiple dance studios and schools of New England. She has been a resident Ballet Mistress at New England Dance and Gymnastics Center since 1997, choreographed and trained many national winning routines and champions. Miss Karina is an active certified member of Dance Educators of America since 2001. She lives in Simsbury, CT with her husband, daughter and two cats, and when she is not teaching dance she works as a Software Quality Engineer.

MARTINA PANATO

Ballet Mistress

Martina grew up in Italy where she began her ballet training at Master Ballet School under the direction of Jacopo Maggi. She participated in the Bolshoi Ballet Academy Summer Intensive in 2016 and 2017, she was then accepted for the Bolshoi Ballet Academy International Program and attended it in the Academic Year 2017-2018. From 2018 to 2020 Martina joined American Repertory Ballet's Trainee Program where she performed alongside the company in 'The Nutcracker', 'Beauty and the Beast' and 'Giselle'. She also performed in Princeton Ballet School's production of 'Don Quijote'. During the summer she participated in the American Ballet Theatre Summer intensive, as well as IBStage (Barcelona, Spain) where she performed in a Gala alongside international stars such as Polina Semionova and Myriam Ould-Braham. After a short break due to Covid, in 2020 she joined Noja-Nebyla Stage Education, a professional training program in Austria led by Simona Noja-Nebyla (former Wiener Staatsballet principal dancer and Academy Director). There, Martina performed in many classical roles and worked with guest choreographers: Angelina Gavrilova (Ballet Arabesque), John Clifford (NYCB), Mario Radachovsky (Ballet NDB). In 2021 she returned to the States where she joined Mystic Ballet 2 and performed in 40+ company shows. In the summer of 2022 she attended Art Of, a Forsythe focused intensive, and Steps on Broadway Summer Study for theatre/jazz. Martina joined New England Ballet Theatre as an Apprentice and got promoted to Company Artist in 2023 and has been part of their productions 'The Red Shoes', 'The Fantastic Toyshop', 'Connecticut Made' and 'A Midsummer Night's dream'.

 

Martina has been teaching alongside her dancing career since 2020 and is passionate about passing on to students her passion for the art form and the tips and tricks she learned throughout her experiences.

JO-ANN BURKE

Ballet Mistress

Ms. Jo-ann began pre-professional ballet instruction with Irina Vakhromeeva, Alexandra Koltun, and Carlos Molina. She attended summer intensives with Ballet Austin, Bolshoi Ballet Academy, Joffrey Ballet Chicago, Koltun Ballet Boston, Milwaukee Ballet, Pennsylvania Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Texas Ballet Theater, and The School of American Ballet. As a professional, she also attended Jacobs Pillow Contemporary Ballet summer program, where she was awarded a Professional Advancement Award for her studies in Contemporary Ballet. She joined the trainee program at The Pennsylvania Ballet under Angel Corella, with Arantxa Ochoa, Alexander Iziliev, Anastasia Babayeva and Denis Gronostayskiy, followed by a year at The Kansas City Ballet under Devon Carney. She joined Milwaukee Ballet’s Second Company working under Rolando Yanes and Mireille Favarel, as well as with the main company under Micheal Pink, before joining Syracuse City Ballet, and later Ballet Theatre Company. During her time with Milwaukee Ballet, Jo-ann volunteered with the Tour De Force, a multi-level program that paired professional dancers with doctors and physical therapists from the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, bringing ballet to kids with a range of special needs and disabilities. While a member of Syracuse City Ballet, she demonstrated in online instruction and taught classes at Ballet and Dance of Upstate NY, as well as weekly ballet classes at an after-school elementary outreach program. She also taught ballet and strength/stretch classes for three years at The School of Ballet Theatre Company.

Jo-ann has performed in professional productions with The Pennsylvania Ballet, The Kansas City Ballet, Milwaukee Ballet, Syracuse City Ballet, and Ballet Theatre Company, in several ballets such as: Don Quixote, Romeo and Juliet, Peter Pan, and Le Corsaire, and has danced principal roles in The Nutcracker (Arabian, Snow Queen, and Dew Drop Fairy), Dracula (Lucy), Don Quixote Wedding (Kitri), Cinderella (Cinderella), Snow White and The Seven Dwarves (The Evil Queen, and Snow White), and Aladdin (The Princess).

Although her instruction leans toward the classical Russian style, Jo-ann has had diverse training in a range of ballet styles through her exposure with several ballet companies and schools while attending ten summers of intensive training through various instructors from all over. She is well versed in classical, neoclassical, and contemporary ballet styles of dance. She delights in seeing growth in her students, and looks forwards to joining the NEDC team!

ASHLEY D'ONOFRIO

Dance Teacher

Ashley D’Onofrio is from Windsor Connecticut where she grew up dancing in Enfield and Somers Connecticut. She started at the age of three at Riley’s School of Dance and also attended the Connecticut Contemporary Ballet Theatre. While training with many great teachers over years and attending numerous master classes and workshops at The School of Hartford Ballet, Broadway Dance Center and Steps in New York City.She has studied Tap, Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern,Character, Acrobatics and even Irish step. She has had the opportunity to take class with Masters such as Brenda Buffalino, Avi Miller and Ofer Ben, Josh Hilberman,Max Pollak, Germaine Salsberg, Frank Hatchet, Jacques d’Amboise and many others. After Graduating from the Hartford Conservatory with a degree in Dance Pedagogy and Dance Performance in 2004 she has been teaching and sharing her passion and love for dance in Connecticut and Western Massachusetts area ever since. Ashley loves all Dance Styles especially Tap, her routines have placed overall at national and regional competitions as well as first in the category. She also enjoys teaching Jazz, Lyrical, Ballet, Pointe and occasionally a Hip Hop Class.

BARB ROGERS 

Office Manager

Barb has been a part of the NEDC family since she can remember, she danced with Loree Cloud and Miss Gina when they were young.  Her daughter Kenzie is now an NEDC alumni and she started dancing when she was 2 years old.   Barb has worked behind the front desk at NEDC since 1999, but she does so much more than that!  Barb can answer (almost!) all of your questions about the studio and helps keep things running smoothly from day-to-day. She does so much behind the scenes and we wouldn't be NEDC without her!  ​
